Summer is a great time to build up our electoral base for November. Here are some opportunities for you to help us do that. Please take part.
Meet Wendy Davis and reach out to voters. The coordinated campaign, which will help get out the vote for Dems up and down the ticket, is building its presence in Dane County, with an office at 6409 Odana Road, Suite 11, in Madison. On Saturday, June 18, former Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis will help launch canvasses from the campaign office. The canvasses will be to identify supporters and volunteers. Go here to sign up.

Thanks to everybody who expressed interest in participating in the 2016 DPW State Convention in Green Bay on June 3-4. This year, we had more delegate slots than people interested in participating, though we had strong interest still! The deadline was last Friday for signing up. In order to participate as a delegate you have to sign up by last Friday and be a paid-up member of the party by 5PM TODAY. The following are signed-up delegates with up-to-date party memberships:
American prosecutors are at the center of a host of key issues -- public safety, police practices, and incarceration and drug policy, to name a few. So at our upcoming membership meeting we will hear from and speak with Dane County DA Ismael Ozanne.
We will also hear from Coordinated Campaign staff about the November campaign.
Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to all our great spring 2016 candidates and to the many staff, volunteers and donors who powered them to victory! Congratulations also to Bernie Sanders on his strong win in the county and the state!

April 5 offers Democrats the opportunity to choose a presidential candidate, remake the state Supreme Court, and to build on our progressive County Board majority and make important gains in municipal and school board elections as well.
The county party is not taking sides in the presidential race, as we have two excellent candidates inHillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
In the Supreme Court race, one candidate is accepting partisan support, but she is an inexperienced, scandal-ridden Walker appointee. The other candidate, JoAnne Kloppenburg, a former Peace Corps volunteer with decades of legal and judicial experience, has not asked for any partisan support. So we are not endorsing in this race but are passing along this information for your consideration.
In local races, please vote for the Dane Dems-endorsed candidates below. Note that dual endorsements indicate that the Campaigns Committee and membership decided that both candidates were solid, progressive Democrats. (Unopposed candidates are shown in italics.)
