February membership meeting report

The room was packed to overflowing for our Feb. 8 membership meeting, as many new faces joined veteran party activists to address our normal business but also the extraordinary challenge of the Trump presidency.

Staci O'Brien, the state party's new organizing director, was introduced and led a discussion about ways to build power to fight Trump and his GOP allies in state government. Staci has deep ties to grassroots volunteer teams in Dane County and around the state, and is reaching out to coordinate with them. Contact information for Staci and other state party staff can be found on the DPW website.

Verona Alder Elizabeth Doyle keynoted the meeting with remarks about the need for affordable housing that is integrated with market-rate housing.
