Organizing Meeting of the Democratic Party of the 2nd Congressional District
Where
Hawthorne Branch of the Madison Public Library
When
Aug 5, 2008
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
With the 2008 campaign season heating up, we all need to get active to take advantage of the political opportunities this year provides. We can elect a Democrat to the White House and take a majority for Democrats in the State Assembly.
To win the presidency, Barack Obama must carry Wisconsin's electoral votes. To do so, we will need to turn out huge numbers of Democratic voters in south-central Wisconsin's 2nd Congressional District.
To win the State Assembly majority, Democrats need only three seats. There are six top-tier Assembly races in our area and in our district - three freshman incumbents to protect and three seats to challenge Republican control.
And while we're at it, we can take the enthusiasm and energy Democrats have in 2008 and build our party for future success!
So, the Democratic Party of the 2nd Congressional District will be working hard to organize and mobilize this summer and fall. But we need you to be active to make it all happen! Come on out to an organizing meeting to find out how you can get involved and make an impact for Democrats in 2008.
