Ride with Team Dane Dems!

Come ride with Team Dane Dems on July 30 for the Loop the Lake bike ride around Lake Monona!

This is a wonderful way to:
1) support the Clean Lakes Alliance to help keep our lakes beautiful.
2) support the Dane Dems by:
  a) having a presence in the bike ride
  b) helping us win a bike we can use that bike for a future fundraiser
  c) getting exercise and building friendships with fellow Dems.

Please use this link to sign up. Cost is $35 for adults; free for those children 10 and under. Make sure you enter the team name "DaneDems" when you register: http://www.isthmustickets.com/events/32741406/loop-the-lake-bike-ride. Please share this link with everyone you wish.

Details on the ride:

Loop the Lake is Clean Lakes Alliance's annual bike ride around Lake Monona that highlights our community’s lakes and lakeshore bike paths. In 2015, more than 500 riders participated, our biggest and most visible ride yet! Event proceeds support our ongoing lake improvement and protection efforts.

Participants will ride along the scenic Lake Loop route through Madison and Monona. Riders will travel 12 miles clockwise around Lake Monona, starting and ending at Olbrich Park. Stop for complimentary checkpoints along the route, including water and beverages, ice cream treats for the kids and other surprises. Most recreational bikers will finish in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and the course will remain open until 2 p.m. After the ride, riders can grab a free beverage and sandwich at the after-party with Paddle & Portage and Shoreline Swim participants.

Time: 9 a.m. check-in and 10 a.m. start

Transportation: Ample bike racks will be available at the event for bike parking. Please consider biking to the event or parking off-site and biking in. Limited parking is available at Olbrich Park and in the Olbrich Botanical Gardens lot across the street.

Each rider will receive an event t-shirt, a picnic lunch and a beverage (beer available for ages 21 and up). Register by noon Wednesday, July 13, to guarantee your t-shirt.
